This book is basically the first part of Cracking the Coding Interview, but expanded. It focuses on soft skills as well as a how to answer few soft questions. The author also writes about how you can prepare for different positions years in advance.

I think most people would get 90% of the value from just reading Cracking the Coding interview instead. Many things explained in the book are either very obvious or already explained in Cracking the Coding Interview. On top of that, some of the core concepts, like writing CV and cover letter, are available on CrackingTheTechCareer.com in a more accessible format.

That said, it is actually a good book. It just didn’t add as much value as I hoped. I still recommend reading it, especially if you haven’t read Cracking the Coding Interview.
